Find some projected trends for this year, from an Interior Design Montreal Firm.-

This year there are a few particular trends that have overtaken by storm. Here are 3 projected design trends that have grown in popularity over this past year.

1. C U R V E D F U R N I T U R E & D E C O R

There is no doubt that we are seeing this trend all over social media. In fact, curved furniture was recently called out as a top designer trend from reports from both Pinterest and Zillow. The simplicity of the furniture, as well as the time timeless look, has come back in style this year. It is a great way to add dimension to a living room, and pairs perfectly with other curved decor like this stoneware vase from H&M Home. Pair curved sofas with curved ottomans and armchairs to create a seamless tie between the shapes used in your decor. Contrasting these with some angled elements will also create a perfect look in your living room.

2. B R O W N S & A M B E R S

The more time we have spent at home over these past years, the more interior design has changed into feeling more earthy and personal. We have found that a lot of trends have focused on combining practicality with style. Earth tones mesh perfectly with black and greys, and create an overall feeling of coziness. For this fall, expect to see interior decoration in earth tones in the shades of brown, amber, dark bourbon and terracotta.

3. D E E P E M E R A L D & D E E P B L U E

When mixed with their surrounding elements, these colours can create a luxurious and complete feel to a space. Whether used in accent walls, or couch pillows, like these from Simons, these two colours will elevate a room. Mixed with the trend of browns, these combinations will create a beautiful old-fashioned decor that feels modern and cozy.
